I have a Cannondale Super-V 700 with a fatty front end on it.
I have had a problem with the shock in the headset and I need to know if anyone here, or knows of anyone that has the special tools to work on it for me? I would also consider putting a long travel front end on the bike if any knows where to find the conversion kit for it. I know someone makes a conversion from fatty to triple clamp head set for it because I saw it on a bike one day an did not get a chance to ask the guy where he had it done. Thanx for any help.........

is this yur bike? http://www.cannondale.com/bikes/00/ce/model-0VA7.html i am not sure you need a special coversion kit for it. try pulling the headset and fork assembly off the bike. hopefully it is just a standard inch and an eighth head tube that will accept any new fork tube. but i am not a cannondale guy so i could be wrong... let me know

Yes that is my bike except mine is the entire flat black one. I have taken it to a couple of shops and they both told me it takes a special tool to get the headset apart and that there was some guy that traveled around so cal fixing them but it was hard to get an appointment. If my dad was here he could make the tool im sure. I basically, lock it out now and even that does not work very good because it tends to come loose and it feels like the front wheel is coming off.......
