I have wanted to race since I was a kid. I have been helping out a friend for a couple years on his sprintcar and sometimes midget, and he finally set it up for me to drive one day. I knew I would want to race, but getting in that car the first time just sold me more! I ended up buying a car within a month. This is my rookie season, and my first race out, I hooked the cushion, rode the wall, then flipped the car, caught it on fire, and got the hell out and walked away. Since then I have been doing alot better, and getting more time in the car. I think I just figured I would get all the bad things out of the way my first race, and can only go up from there! lol

I started racing in karts when i was 9. When i was 4 or 5 my father raced asphalt and did figure 8s and enduro races. One day he asked me if i wanted to race gokarts and i had no idea what they were but i still said yes. My first time i went out and got lapped by everyone and felt a little discouraged, but the next week i came back and got 3rd, and since then its been me and my dad, you could say he got me hooked. I have had 3 major wrecks throughout my career. The first one was in my second year of karts and me and this other kid were side by side for 3 laps and then he stuff me into the infield tires, which were big ol' asphalt modified tires and it came up over the front of my kart and hyper extended my neck almost breaking it. The second one was in karts as well but on the start of a double points race the girl next to me stuffed me in the wall and the kid in last hit me in the side so hard that i almost got ejected from my kart, i thought i broke alot of my ribs, i walked it off f and got back in and finished 2nd. and my last wreck was in sprint cars, one of the crazier drivers put his car into the infeild burm in front of me and came to a stop and i couldnt stop in time and i hit the from of his car doing about 90mph and went end over end, thank god for Hans Devices, saved my neck that day.

i got my first gokart in 2004 on my birthday then started racing in 2005. my family has been racing since the speedway in santa maria,CA opened. my grandpa (bobby claborn) got my uncle (joey claborn #88c/#1c mod) racing so i spent my time watching him. i ran assfault but mostly always got last. one day they put me on dirt and i did way better. now i am still running gokarts and looking for a mini stock to race.
