Mike Bliss wins rain-shortened NASCAR Nationwide race at Lowe's Motor Speedway Mike Bliss wins the Carquest Auto Parts 300. "You know at the shop, those boys work their tail off on cup cars and Busch cars," Bliss said. "This Chevrolet was just fast." Brendan Gaughan is second and thought he could take the lead if the race went back to green flag. Kyle Busch finished third.    The longest race of the season, the Coca Cola 600 is on tommorow and should be a good race

JJ Yeley’s qualifying speed not good enough to make the field for the May 24th Sprint Cup Coca-Cola 600 at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Yeley, in for suspended Jeremy Mayfield, ran a lap of 184.093 mph in the No. 41 Toyota. It was 40th quickest. Since the team is outside the top 35 in owners points and required to qualify on speed, he did not make the cut.

That's a bummer. I remember when JJ used to race midgets out at Ventura. Will always root for the local boys!

Joey Logano is the top rookie qualifier for the May 24th Sprint Cup Coca-Cola 600 at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Logano’s lap of 186.832 mph in the No. 20 Home Depot Toyota was 14th fastest, ahead of the rest of the 2009 ROTY contenders qualifying for Sunday night’s race.

Sorry...I know some may disagree but after Logano's performance at the Toyota All Star Showdown in Irwindale in January...I just can't like this kid. What he did there was rediculous.
